Open since October 26, 2022, the Gene Haas STEAM Innovation Center was the first of its kind in the county. Today, the program is a growing network of labs designed to expose members from elementary to middle school to a huge variety of career fields found right here in Ventura County. Our second location at the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center opened its doors in 2025, and we have two more sites planned for the Premier America Port Hueneme Club and Reiter Family Youth Center.

At our centers, dozens of unique modules can be explored, each centered on a STEAM career area. This includes everything from titration and chemistry, to digital design and videography, to nursing and hospitality. Over the course of 7 weeks, under the guidance of a dedicated STEAM coordinator and trained Staff Professionals, members will complete hands-on experiments and engage with new technology. After completing a module, they will earn micro-credentials and have the opportunity to meet with local professionals working in STEAM.
