Dr. Tracy Blois
Head of Alliance Management, Amgen
Board Chair, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme

  1. How long have you been involved in your field, and what drew you to this work?

I’m a biochemist by training and have spent nearly 15 years at Amgen. Throughout my career, the consistent theme has been creative problem solving—connecting dots, driving change for good, and helping teams work better together. I’m passionate about challenging the status quo and building high-performing teams that make a real impact.

  2. Please tell us about your current role and responsibilities.

I currently serve as Head of Alliance Management at Amgen. My work focuses on strategic planning, business transformation, alliance management, and cross-functional leadership. At the core, it’s about collaboration—bringing people together to solve complex problems and increase business and community impact.

  3. What are some highlights of your career?

One of the most meaningful parts of my career has been mentoring and STEM outreach. I’m deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and leaders, whether that’s through my work at Amgen, mentoring, or nonprofit board leadership. Helping people grow, learn, and succeed is incredibly rewarding.

  4. How did you get involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme?

I’ve been a board member for five years and currently serve as Board Chair. I enjoy being part of the board because we help ensure an impactful and sustainable future—one that makes a difference in the lives of thousands of youth for years to come. What better way to invest your time than to support places that are developing our next generation of innovators?

  5. What continues to inspire you about BGCOP?

I never cease to be impressed with the amazing work this organization delivers in our community. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme are vital to our region and serve thousands of local youth every year. I am truly proud and in awe of what the staff and board have done—and continue to do.

BGCOP spends around $663 to provide services for one child, yet membership is just $20 per year, and for struggling families, it’s free. That only happens because people step up. This is our chance to make a real difference for youth in our community and beyond.

  6. What advice would you give to others considering board service?

Board service is a powerful way to give back, apply your skills for good, and help shape the future. When you’re part of a mission-driven organization with strong leadership and passionate people, the impact is real—and incredibly fulfilling.
